hi all
Been out of RC for many years. Got very jaded with aircraft after some time in full size but the scale models keep tempting me back.
Have been building a large scale boat for quite a long time and it is inching ever closer to finish so the mind is getting tempted again.
Not into warbirds much although the Catalina and F4U are soooo tempting. Most likely small GA, Maybe a Mooney or Aztec.
The wife got me a Taranis for a Valentines gift so i bought some bits and am playing with a Y6 multi for fun but Helicopters don't really fly do they, Just beat the air into submission. The daughter loves it though.
Lots to read here so i will be lurking a lot. Signed up as a site supporter earlier today, more than good value for the $20 i think

Mike

West side Freo area
Won't ask too many q's until the boat is finished. Probably download some plans to get a general idea of what the larger models are like these days, probably not a lot different to the old days just bigger. After having done so much with epoxy on the boat maybe make plugs and moulds then i can replace my bent ones easily

Bill  The boss is not the controlling sort, always looking for ways to make me happy but then i do the same for her so life is good.
Jeff  Most parts of Aus are very conducive to model flying, not much of that bloody freezing stuff u call snow
Mike   Been looking in there but not a lot that grabbed my attention apart from the few warbirds i like.  OOOOOHHHH that P38 is so tempting but not for my first biggie.
Anybody seen any good drawings and info on the Lancair line especially the IV with the wing tips, love that one and if i make it in carbon/glass then true to scale
